The MCC Pioneers piled up 60 first half points to build a 26 point lead in the 2nd half and then held off a United Tribes rally for a 99-89 win on Thursday night in Bismarck, ND.

Ebele Mbagwu (Freshman - Bakersfield, CA) dazzled the T-Bird gym with a triple double that included 22 points (10-19 FG, 2-2 FT), 17 rebounds, and 11 assists. Matilda Sanz (Freshman - Madrid, Spain) hit for 26 points (11-21 FG, 3-6 3's, 1-1 FT) and Laynee Elness (Freshman - Winifred, MT) joined the 20-point club with 20 of her own (5-13 FG, 2-6 3's, 8-8 FT). Pien Draisma (Sophomore - Netherlands) contributed 14 points (4-8 FG, 3-3 3's4 FT) and Hailey Dennison (Freshman - Shepherd, MT) hit double figures with 10 points (5-9 FG) and 6 rebounds.
The Pioneers led for the entire 40 minutes of game action.
