Pioneeers 69... Central Arizona 107
Aniyah Riddell poured in 32 points (12-18 FG, 8-12 FT) and hauled in 17 rebounds in a dominating performance as Central Arizona poured it on the Miles CC women in a convincing 107-69 victory on Saturday afternoon in Coeur d' Alene, ID.
The game was close in the 1st quarter until Central Arizona connected on a 3-point field goal at the end of the quarter for a 21-12 lead. The Vaqueros then used that momentum to outscore MCC 26-18 in the 2nd quarter to build a 47-30 lead at the half. Central Arizona would drop 60 points in the 2nd half to pull away convincingly. Ella Reisner added 22 points (8-12 FG, 5-8 3's 1-2 FT) as Central Arizona piled up 60 points in the 2nd half.
MCC was led by Matilda Sanz (Freshman - Madrid, Spain) with 17 points (6-13 FG, 1-3 3's, 4-4 FT). Kataya Kill Eagle (Freshman - Dodson, MT) hit for 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 3's, 2-2 FT) for her highest scoring game of the season. Laynee Elness (Freshman - Winifred, MT) also had 13 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3's)and a team high 8 rebounds, while Ebele Mbagwu (Freshman - Bakersfield, CA) contributed 10 points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3's, 2-4 FT) and had 9 steals.
