Pioneers 96... Carroll College JV 60

The MCC Pioneers recovered nicely from a blowout loss to #13 Salt Lake Community College to win the final 2 games on Saturday and Sunday in Glendive, MT. 

The Pioneers scored early and often against the Carroll College JV blasting out to a 29-12 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and didn't look back in a 96-60 win to improve the Pioneer record to 5-4 on the season. 

Laynee Elness (Freshman - Winifred, MT) stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3's, 8-10 FT), 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Hailey Dennison (Freshman - Shepherd, MT) kicked in 21 points (9-13 FG, 3-4 FT) and had a team high 8 rebounds. Ebele Mbagwu (Freshman - Bakersfield, CA) finished with 14 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3's, 2-2 FT), 7 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists. 

Matilda Sanz (Freshman - Madrid, Spain) had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Jai Baumann (Freshman - Big Sandy, MT) came off the bench to score 8 points and snag 6 rebounds. 

Carroll College was led by Ellie Baxter with 21 points (8-26 FG, 3-14 3's, 2-2 FT) and 8 rebounds.
