Pioneer Basketball Season Ends in Region Semifinal

On a night when the Pioneers shot 53% from the field and hit 16-32 from the 3-point line, Dawson CC defense forced 24 Pioneer turnovers and rolled to a 132-106 win in the Region XIII semifinal on Wednesday night in Glendive. 

Dawson had 16 more shot attempts than did the Pioneers due to 14 offensive rebounds and the Pioneer turnovers. 

Seth Amunrud scored 32 points (12-19 FG, 4-7 3's, 4-4 FT), had 8 rebounds, and 6 assists to lead the Dawson offensive charge. Jordan Jasper added 20 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3's, 4-4 FT) and added 8 assists to go along with 9 steals. Justin Asi added 16 points (7-9 FG, 1-3 3's, 1-1 FT). 

The Pioneers got 25 points (10-15 FG, 4-8 3's, 1-1 FT), 6 rebounds, and 5 assists from Azenio Cossa and another 22 points (8-18 FG, 1-5 3's, 5-6 FT) and 5 rebounds from Yohandry Ortiz. Mack Page added 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3's, 1-1 FT) and Page also had 5 rebounds. Donnie Haney added 11 points (4-10 FG, 3-6 3's, 0-1 FT).
