Pioneers 3... Lake Region State 0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-20)

Less than 24 hours after being swept by the NDSCS Wildcats, the MCC Pioneers reversed roles and put a beating on Lake Region State College on Wednesday night inside Kaily Gymnasium on the campus of Miles Community College. 

The Pioneers never trailed in either of the 1st 2 games and then rallied from an early hole in game 3 to pull off the sweep. 

Offensively, the Pioneers were led by Zeason Schaffer (Sophomore - Broadus, MT) with 13 kills and Taiya Guptill (Freshman - Hardin, MT) handed out 29 assists. Savanah Newsom (Freshman - Great Falls, MT) served up 4 aces to lead the Pioneer service attack. 

Cameron Blevins (Sophomore - Shelby, MT) dug up 24 potential scoring balls by Royal hitters and Angeline Riener (Freshman - Fort Benton, MT) had 4 blocks. 

The Pioneers are now 4-3 in MonDak Conference action and 12-9 overall. Next up for the Pioneers is a home contest with the Carroll College JV on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM MDT.
