Pioneer Volleyball Heads In To MonDak Conference Action With Win Over Trinity Bible

Pioneers 3... Trinity Bible College 1 (24-26, 25-17, 25-17, 27-25)

The MCC Pioneers picked themselved up after a disappointing loss on Monday night and earned a road victory over Trinity Bible College on Monday night in Ellendale, WA. 

The Pioneers lost a tightly contested 1st game but bounced back and cruised to victories in game 2 and 3 to set up another tight game 4 and the Pioneers snuck out of town 27-25 in the 4th game. 

Zeason Schaffer (Sophomore - Broadus, MT) came up with 15 kills and Angeline Riener (Freshman - Fort Benton) added 10 more in the victory. Taiya Guptill (Freshman - Hardin, MT) had team highs in assists (31) and digs (26). Cameron Blevins (Sophomore - Shelby, MT) added 23 digs and 2 aces. Grace Gackle (Sophomore - Circle, MT) continued her strong play on the defensive side of the net with 4 blocks. Savanah Newsom (Freshman - Great Falls, MT) had 2 service aces. 

The Pioneers are now 7-4 on the season and begin MonDak Conference play tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 16) at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND with game time coming at 6:00 PM MDT.
