Pioneers Snap 3-Game Skid With Big Win at Lake Region State

Pioneers 3... Lake Region State 0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-19)

The MCC Pioneer volleyball team snapped a 3-game losing streak and snagged a grip on 3rd place in the MonDak Conference standings with a convincing 25-23, 25-21, 25-19 win over Lake Region State College on Wednesday night in Devils Lake, ND. 

MCC had a balanced attack at the net as Kodiann Lynn (Simms, MT) collected 13 kills and Zeason Schaffer (Broadus, MT) added 12 more in the victory. Bailey Nowicki (Miles City, MT) dished out 38 assists and Grace Gackle (Circle, MT) had the only ace of the night. Hattie Bumgarner (Belt, MT) had 5 blocks and Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) picked up 25 digs. 

The Pioneers are now 5-4 in MonDak Conference play and 10-14 overall. Next up for MCC is a trip to Helena, MT for non-conference games against Carroll College JV and Rocky Mountain College JV on Sunday at 1:00 and 3:00 PM MDT.
