Pioneers 3... Dawson 1 (19-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-20)

After falling behind early and losing game 1, the Pioneers got their bearings straight on Tuesday night in Glendive and easily took the last 3 games for a MonDak Conference road win at Dawson CC.

The Pioneers quickly gained momentum in game 2 by dominating the game and then played steady throughout the final 2 games to take the win. 

Zeason Schaffer (Broadus, MT) and Kodiann Lynn (Simms, MT) took control at the net with 16 and 14 kills respectively. Bailey Nowicki dished out 46 assists to the Pioneer hitters. 

Defensively, Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) had 28 digs and Hattie Bumgarner (Belt, MT) stifled the Dawson offense with 5 blocks. 

MCC moved up to 3rd place in the MonDak Conference standings at 4-3 and are 9-11 overall. Dawson is 2-5 in conference play and 3-18 overall. The Pioneers travel to Billings on Wednesday night for a 7:00 match at Rocky Mountain College JV.
