MCC Volleyball Goes to the Woodshed and Smacks Bottineau

Pioneers 3... Dakota College @ Bottineau 0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17)

In a MonDak Conference volleyball match that was never competitive, the MCC Pioneers traveled to Bottineau, ND and snapped back from a tough 5-game loss on Tuesday night to smack the Lumberjacks 3-0.

The Pioneers got off to a hot start, never slowed down, and made short work of DCB to run their MonDak Conference record to 3-2 and overall record to 7-6.

Zeason Schaffer (Broadus, MT) continued her strong play with 13 kills and Tehya Gallegos (Burns, WY) had 38 assists and 2 service aces to lead the Pioneer offense.

Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) had 17 digs and Ruby Gray (Billings, MT) accounted for 6 blocks.

The Pioneers return home Saturday when they host Region IX member Eastern Wyoming College at 2:00 PM. League leading Bismarck State comes to Miles City on Tuesday, September 17 for a conference matchup at 7:00 PM.
