A night after a disappointing 5-set loss to NDSCS, the MCC Pioneers rebounded for a 25-19, 25-16, 25-23 win over Lake Region State College. The win moved the Pioneers to 4-3 in MonDak Conference play and 10-10 overall. Lake Region fell to 0-7 in the league. The Pioneers will face league leading Bismarck State on Tuesday, October 5 in Miles City at 7:00 PM. 

The Pioneers were led defensively by hometown product Sydney Johnstone with 3.5 blocks and Sam Oliver (Havre, MT) had 16 digs. Mandi Tvedt (Glenrock, WY) served up 3 aces on the night and Jacey Rowland (Weyburn, Saskatchewan) had 17 assists and Cassidy Acor (Havre, MT) had 9 kills.
