The Miles Community College Pioneer Volleyball team finally got back on the court again and did so in a resounding way. After a 15 day layoff that saw 2 matches get postponed, MCC played it's first home game of the 2021-22 school year and dominated Dickinson State JV to even up their season record at 8-8. The Pioneers took control early in the match and never eased up in a 25-20, 25-17, 25-12 win.
Cassidy Acor (Havre, MT) and Sydney Johnstone (Miles City, MT) each had 7 kills to lead the offensive charge. Jacey Rowland (Weyburn, Saskatchewan) dished out 14 assists and served up 4 aces. Chloe Cota (Roundup, MT) had 12 digs and Cassidy Acor also had 2.5 blocks on the evening. The Pioneers will travel to Glendive to play Dawson on Wednesday night in a big MonDak Conference matchup. The Pioneers are 2-1 in league play while Dawson is 3-2. Bismarck State leads the conference standings at 5-1.
