Pioneers 3... Lake Region State 0 (27-25, 25-18, 25-21)

The MCC Pioneer volleyball team rallied from 2 losses on Friday with a 6 game sweep of things Saturday in Bismarck, ND. The Pioneers swept Lake Region State 3-0 in a non-conference victory at the Armory at Bismarck State College. Angela Youngs (Gillette, WY) had 12 kills, Mandi Tvedt (Glenrock, WY) had 15 assists and 3 aces while the ever popular Havre connection of Cassidy Acor (2.5 blocks) and Sam Oliver (22 digs) led the way defensively for MCC. 

 Pioneers 3... Dakota College at Bottineau 0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18)

MCC completed the sweep on Saturday with a resounding victory over Dakota College at Bottineau. Once again Youngs led the way with 10 kills. Jacey Rowland (Weyburn, Saskatchewan) tallied 21 assists, and Syndey Johnstone (Miles City, MT) had the sole ace of the match. Once again Cassidy Acor led the team in blocks with 2.5 to go along with Olivia Cook's (Belgrade, MT) 2.5 blocks. Sam Oliver dug up 17 kill attempts by the Lumberjacks. The Pioneers are now 4-6 on the season and will face Jamestown College JV tomorrow afternoon in a non-conference match at 4:00 MST.
