MCC Pioneer Sophomore guard Azenio Cossa (Maputo, Mozambique) has been selected as the MonDak Conference player of the week for the 2nd consecutive time. During a 1-1 week for the Pioneers,  defeated Dakota College at Bottineau 105-88 and had a buzzer beating two point loss (75-77) to North Dakota State College of Science. Cossa scored 46 points while shooting 63% from the field, had 15 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocked shots.
