Pioneers 65... Central Wyoming 79
The MCC Pioneers came out flat on Friday afternoon in Powell, WY and scored only 24 first half points to dig a hole to big to get out of. Central Wyoming controlled the contest from start to finish in a 79-65 win over the Pioneers.
MCC trailed Central Wyoming 48-24 at halftime and by as many as 29 points before making a slight rally cutting the Rustler lead to 12 points in the 2nd half. MCC found struggles at both the 3-point line and the free throw line.
Azenio Cossa (6'3 Sophomore - Maputo, Mozambique) scored 26 points (9-16 FG, 0-2 3's, 8-12 FT) and Uwami Chongo (6'8 Sophomore - Maputo, Mozambique) added 13 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3's, 2-4 FT) and 8 rebounds. Shad Boyce (Freshman - Winifred, MT) had 9 points and a team high 12 rebounds.
