Favour Chukwukelu (6'2 Guard, Las Vegas) scored 22 points (8-13 FG, 5-7 3's, 1-1 FT) and Remy Lemovou (6'8 Forward, Wichita, KS) notched a triple-double with 10 points (5-12 FG), 12 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots to lead the MCC Pioneers to a 73-69 win at Williston State and secure a home game in the MonDak Conference quarterfinals. The same two teams will meet again on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM in Miles City, MT. MCC finished the regular season 13-9 overall and 12-9 in conference play. WSC was 11-10 overall and in MonDak Conference action.
Ben Datro (6'1 Guard, Montreal) came off the bench to score 14 points (6-13 FG, 1-2 3's, 1-1 FT) and grab 8 rebounds while Dylan Hushaw (6'2 Guard, Las Vegas) had 11 points and 14 rebounds. The Pioneers outrebounded the Tetons 48-41 in the game. The Pioneers shot 29-68 FG (43%) compared to the Tetons 29-85 (34%) and the teams combined to only shoot a total of 13 free throws. MCC was 11-23 from the 3-point line and WSC hit only 6-27 3's.
