Pioneers Use Balanced Attack to Win 3rd Straight

Favour Chukwukelu (6'2 Guard, Las Vegas) led a quartet of double-figure scorers with 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3's) and also grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Pioneers to their 3rd consecutive victory and evened up their MonDak record at 4-4 with a 83-65 win over Dakota College-Bottineau. Dylan Hushaw (6'2 Guard, Las Vegas) had 19 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3's, 5-7 FT) and added 6 rebounds as the Pioneers outrebounded the Lumberjacks 45-29. Remy Lemovou (Wichita, KS) added 16 points (7-9 FG, 2-2 FT) and 7 rebounds while Eli Habighorst (6'1 Guard, Las Vegas) had 13 points (9-10 FT), 6 rebounds, 5 assists for the night. Jakim Ricketts (6'2 Guard, Livingston, MT) led the Pioneers in rebounding with 8. 

The Lumberjacks were led by Erik Palmer (6'4 forward) with 22 points (11-20 FG) and 12 rebounds. Kionne Layne (6'3 Forward) added 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3's) and Trayvon Barney (5'10 Guard) added 13 points and 8 assists, and 4 steals. The Lumberjacks fell to 2-5 in MonDak Conference action and 3-5 overall. 

Next up for the Pioneers is a trip to Glendive on Thursday night for a matchup with Dawson at 7:30 PM as the 2nd round of league games kicks off.
