Six Miles CC Pioneers scored in double figures as the Pioneers returned home from a 4-game road swing to defeat the Dakota College-Bottineau Lumberjacks 94-72 on Sunday afternoon to move to 3-4 in MonDak Conference play. Dakota College fell to 2-4 in league play.
Dylan Hushaw (6'2 Guard, Las Vegas) scored 18 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 3's, 2-2 FT) and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the balanced Pioneer attack. Ben Datro (6'1 Guard, Montreal) came off the bench to score 14 points (4-12 FG, 2-6 3's, 4-4 FT), Favour Chukwukelu (6'2 Guard, Las Vegas) played his first game of the season after recovering from knee surgery and scored 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3's) and had 2 steals on the day. Eli Habighorst (6'1 Guard, Las Vegas) had 11 points (4-4 FG, 3-4 FT) 7 assists, & 6 rebounds and Jakim Ricketts (Livingston, MT) had 10 points as did Remy Lemouvou (Wichita, KS) who also had 8 rebounds and 2 block shots.
The Lumberjacks were led by Trayvon Barney (5'10 Guard) had 15 points (5-12 FG, 0-2 3's, 5-7 FT), Kionne Layne (6'4 Forward) had 14 points (7-14 FG, 0-5 3's) 8 rebounds, Eric Palmer (6'4 Forward) had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and Schuyler Pimental (6'2 Guard) added 12 points off the bench.
