Dylan Hushaw (6'2 Sophomore Guard, Las Vegas) piled up 37 points (10-21 FG, 5-10 3's, 12-14 FT), 7 rebounds, and 3 assists while Jakim Ricketts (6'2 Sophomore Guard, Livingston, MT) added 25 points (8-11 FG, 6-7 3's, 3-6 FT) before fouling out as the Pioneers (2-4) snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 106-96 win over Williston State (4-2). Ben Datro (6-1 Freshman Guard, Montreal, Quebec) came off the bench to score 16 points (4-12 FG, 2-4 3's, 6-11 FT) and Eli Habighorst (6'0 Guard, Las Vegas) had 15 points and 9 assists. The Pioneers outrebounded the Tetons 46-34 on the night as MCC centers Remy Lemovou (6'8 Sophomore, Wichita, KS) had 9 rebounds and 5 block and Dunstan Esimone (6'6 Sophomore, Tiko, Cameroon) had 15 rebounds off the bench.
The Pioneers led by as many as 13 in the first half off of the hot shooting by Hushaw and Ricketts. Williston State battled back to take a 1-point lead with 4:55 to play the the Pioneers made big plays down the stretch to pull away. MCC shot 13-24 (54%) from 3-point line and 33-53 from the free throw line.
Keenan Reynolds (6'1 Sophomore Guard) came off the bench to lead the Tetons in scoring with 26 points (9-19 FG, 1-6 3's, 7-12 FT's) and fellow non-starter Adreone Sprinkles had 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-6 FT). Nathanial Powell (6'9 Sophomore Center) had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the game.
