Hot Shooting Mystics Defeat Pioneers

The MCC Pioneers ran in to a hot shooting buzz saw Monday night at the BSC Armory. Jamison Kramer scored 28 points (9-17 FG, 8-12 3's) and Seth Nelson came off the bench to score 28 points (8-13 FG, 6-7 3's) as the Bismarck State Mystics shot 60% from the 3-point line to take a 99-85 victory. The Mystics (2-1) were 16-27 from 3-point range and out rebounded the Pioneers 45-29. BSC had 14 offensive rebounds. 

The Pioneers were led by Sophomores Dylan Hushaw (Las Vegas, NV - 7-13 FG, 5-11 3's) and Jakim Ricketts (Livingston, MT 5-10 FG, 4-4 3's) with 19 points each. Freshman Eli Habighorst (Las Vegas, NV) contributed 17 points (7-12 FG) and 3 assists. Remy Lemovou (Wichita, KS) came off the bench to score 14 points, grab 13 rebounds with 2 blocks before fouling out. After a hot shooting first half (16-30 FG, 8-14 3's) the Pioneers cooled off in the 2nd half hitting only 15-34 FG and 3-10 3's. The loss dropped the Pioneers to 1-2 on the young season. They will be on the road again Friday night in Wahpeton, ND to face North Dakota State College of Science at 6:30 PM MST. Game can be seen live at www.ndscswildcats.com.
