Sophormoe Jakim Ricketts (6'2, Livingston, MT) poured in 25 points (10-17 FG, 2-3 FT) 7 rebounds, 6 assists and Dylan Hushaw (6'2 Sophomore - Las Vegas, NV) hit for 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists as the Pioneers built a 54-35 halftime lead and survived some 2nd half foul trouble to notch the first win of the 2021 season with a 87-63 home win over United Tribes Technical College. The Pioneers evened their MonDak Conference record at 1-1 while the T-Birds fell to 0-2 on the early season. 

Remy Lemovou (6'8 Sophomore - Wichita, KS) had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks before fouling out with 8:00 to play in the contest. Eli Habighorst (Freshman - Las Vegas, NV) hit for 12 points (4-5 FG, 2-4 FT) and 5 assists. The Pioneers shot 63% (19-30 FG, 9-17 3's) in the first half but only hit for 40% (13-32 FG, 3-17 3's) in the second half. The Pioneers outrebounded the T-Birds 50-45 for the afternoon. 

United Tribes was led by Sophomore Tyree Whitcomb (6'7 Sophomore, Browning, MT) with 18 points (6-11 FG, 3-4 3's, 3-9 FT) and Cayden Redfield (6'4 Freshman, Hardin, MT) added 10 points on 4-12 shooting. 

The Pioneers will head to Bismarck State on Monday night to face the Mystics at 7:30 PM MST.
