(Williston, ND) The Pioneers fell to the Tetons on Monday evening in Williston, ND. The Tetons got off to a great start and controlled most of the first half, taking a 54-34 lead into the locker room at the break. The Pioneers widdled away at the Teton's lead and pulled it back to 76-78 with just 3:00 to play in the game. However, the Tetons shot the ball better in the end and the Pioneers fell, 78-87. The Pioneers move to 9-11 on the season and 1-3 in conference play.
Gedeon Buzangu had a double-double for the Pioneers, scoring 20 points and pulling down 12 boards. Jayvon Lewis contributed 17 points and DA Wyche added 14 to the effort. Wyche led MCC in assists with five.
The Pioneers will face Dakota College on Thursday evening at 7:30 pm in the Kailey Gymnasium.
