It was another victory for the Men's Basketball Pioneers on Saturday afternoon in the Kailey Gymnasium. The Pioneers and Jacks went back and forth in the first half, with the Jacks having the lead for much of it. The turning point came when Coach Tait made a lineup change to a smaller lineup and put Akeemis Williams in the game. Williams went on a hot streak and led MCC past the Jacks and into the locker room with a 52-38 lead. The second half was all Pioneers and they eventually pulled away from the Jacks, getting the victory 106-75.
Deondre Northey led the Pioneers in scoring with 17 points, followed closely by Akeemis Williams and Gedeon Buzangu with 16 each. DA Wyche added 13 in the effort. Buzangu completed the double-double with 12 rebounds to lead the team. Wyche led the team in assists with seven.
The Pioneers head to Gillette, WY on Friday, November 23 to take on the Pronghorns at 7:30 pm.
