Pioneers 42... Carroll College JV 54
The MCC Pioneers mustered up only 14 field goals on a cold shooting Sunday afternoon at the Miles Community College Centra. Carroll College JV rolled in to Miles City and held the Pioneers to 19% field goals for the game enroute to a 54-42 non-conference victory.
MCC made only 2 field goals in each of the 1st (9 points) and 3rd quarters (7 points) and could never mount a comeback as the Pioneers continually struggled to put the ball in the basket.
Lainey Smith (Miles City, MT) was the lone Pioneer in double figures with 10 points (3-17 FG, 3-11 3's, 1-2 FT) to go along with 12 rebounds. Gracie Anderson (Harlowton, MT) hauled in 9 rebounds.
Ida Bokemeyer (Germany) scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3's, 2-3 FT) and Megan Baxter (Thompson Falls, MT) grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Saints to the victory.

Miles CC fell to 2-6 on the season. The game marked the last game of the tenure of Mark Graupe as head coach. Graupe resigned due to health concerns and assistant coach Sam Kortum will take over on an interim basis for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. MCC will travel to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho for a game vs. Casper College on Friday and North Idaho College on Saturday. The Pioneers will then play at Spokane Community College on Sunday morning.
