Pioneers 73... Rocky Mountain College JV 63

The MCC Pioneers picked up their 1st victory under new head coach Mark Graupe with a hard fought 73-63 win on Saturday afternoon at the MCC Centra. The back and forth contest saw the Pioneers outscore the Bears 12-2 in overtime after the teams were tied at 61-61 at the end of regulation. 

Jessica Makayabo (Eastlake, TX) pumped in 27 points (7-15 FG, 13-16 FT) and grabbed a team high 12 rebounds to lead the way to the Pioneer win. Lainey Smith (Miles City, MT) added 23 points (7-15 FG, 5-11 3's, 4-4 FT) and Skyler Neumann (Fallon, MT) chipped in 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-4 3's). 

Rocky Mountain JV wasted a huge effort from Madison Kaufman who poured in 36 points (11-20 FG, 6-11 3's, 8-8 FT) to lead the way for the Bears. Paige Lethert added 14 points (5-14 FG, 3-10 3's, 1-2 FT).

MCC is now 1-4 on the season and travels to Powell, WY for a 5:30 tipoff against Northwest College on Tuesday night.
