(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College Women's Basketball team has announced that Lili Long will be joining the Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season.
Long is a 6'0" forward from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She attended high school at Box Hill Senior Secondary College in Melbourne, Australia.
Lili was part of the state championship team in 2016. Lili was the captain of her Nunawading Scepters team this season (summer 2019) and averaged 12pts and 10 rebounds.
Lili is the daughter of Madeline Long and Michael Long, both of Australia. She is planning to pursue a degree in business and marketing while at MCC.
Long on attending MCC: "I felt welcome at Miles Community College from the moment Coach Taylor showed interest. I chose Miles because I know how respected women's basketball is. I also know how willing Coach Taylor is to help me succeed. Miles Community College has provided me with the most amazing opportunity and I can't wait to be a part of the team."
Coach Harris on Long: "Lili comes to us highly recommended by coaches and former players of mine in Australia. Lili played at one of the most respected schools in Box Hill Senior College as well as spent time competing for Nunawading in the Big V League. She brings a blue collared mentality on and off the court and really bolsters our physical presence at the forward spot on the basketball court. Lili is a tremendous competitor and rebounder in and out of her area and the community will love watching her on the court! Lili fits in perfectly with our team first culture and we are so excited for her to get here!"
