Pioneer Baseball Nabs Both MonDak Conference Weekly Honors

The MCC Pioneer baseball team nabbed both of the MonDak Conference weekly honors. Chance Descalchuk was named player of the week and Tanner Hager was named pitcher of the week. 

Chance Descalchuk was named at the MonDak Conference player of the week. During a 6-2 week for the Pioneers, Descalchuk had a batting average of .500% (14/28) and an OPS of 1.790%. Included in his 14 hits were 5 home runs, 3 doubles, and a triple. Chance cranked out 20 RBI's, 13 runs scored, 3 base-on-balls, and 4 stolen bases. Chance is from Regina, Saskatchewan and he attended Martin Collegiate.

Tanner Hagar was named the MonDak Conference pitcher of the week. Tanner picked up two wins in two appearances moving his season record to 4-1. He pitched nine innings and allowed just 6 hits. He gave up 2 earned runs, had 9 strikeouts, and an opponents average of .182%. One of Tanner's wins was a 1-hitter against Lake Region State College. Tanner is from Casper, Wyoming and he attended Natrona County High School.
