Game 1 - Pioneers 10... DCB Lumberjacks 5
The MCC Pioneers were able to come up with 10 runs on only 7 hits and the pitching staff kept the Lumberjacks at arms length in a 10-5 win in game 3 of a 4-game MonDak Conference series on Sunday afternoon in Miles City.
MCC got the first runs of the game in the top of the 2nd inning on the strength of a RBI single from Chaise Tracy (3B - Billings, MT) and a RBI double from Raymond Shawver (RF - Miles City, MT). DCB cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the 4th inning but The Pioneers took control of the game with a 5-run 5th inning. Holden Christensen (C - Casper, WY) connected on a 3-run home run to push the lead to 5-1 and then scored on a passed ball and RBI single from Chase Carnahan (2B - Fallon, NV).
The Pioneers extended the lead to 10-1 with 3 more runs in the 6th inning. The first run came after 3 consecutive walks and a passed ball. The last 2 runs both came on wild pitches from the Lumberjack pitching staff.
DCB was able to score 3 runs in the 6th and 1 in the 7th but it would not be enough to pose a serious threat to the Pioneer lead.
Christensen was the only Pioneer with 2 hits and also had 3 RBI.
AJ Truman (Eureka, MT) got the ball for game 1 and pitched 5 innings (4 H, 3 R, 4 BB, 7 SO). Keenan Kraft (Belgrade, MT) received the ball for the 6th inning (R, BB, SO) and Tracy pitced the 7th inning (H, R, 2 SO).

Game 2 - Pioneers 13... DCB Lumberjacks 2 (5 Innings)
The Pioneers piled up 7 runs in the 1st inning and then finished off the game early with 5 more runs in the 5th inning in a 13-2 win to sweep the 4-game series with the DCB Lumberjacks. MCC also got a strong pitching performance from Dominic Johnatakis (Syracuse, UT) throwing complete game 5 innings (6 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 9 SO).
Liam Sullivan (CF - Great Falls, MT) knocked a 1-out double and scored on a single from Chance Descalchuk (DH - Regina, Saskatchewan). Ethan Forrest (LF - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) followed that with a 2-run blast to right field for a 3-0 Pioneer lead. Walks by Karter Scott (1B - Regina, Saskatchewan) and Luke Thorne (SS - Missoula, MT) led to a Chaise Tracy RBI single. Raymond Shawver blasted more excitement to the game for MCC with a 3-run home run over the right field fence.
DCB picked up a run in the 2nd and 3rd innings and then Descalchuk hit a towering blast to left center bleachers for a 8-2 lead. In the 5th inning, Tracy singled with one out and Shawver doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Carnahan knocked a 2 RBI double and Descalchuk added to his RBI total with a RBI single to bring Carnahan home. Forrest added a RBI single and Anthony Williams (C - Billings, MT) drove in the final run of the game with a single.
Descalchuk was 3-4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Carnahan, Forrest, Tracy, and Shawver each had 2 hits. Forrest and Shawver also had 3 RBI apiece.

- MCC had the only error of the game.
