Pioneer Baseball Wins; Gets Rained Out on Monday in Tucson

Game 1 - Pioneers 14... Minnesota West 0 (5 Innings)

Chance Descalchuk (DH - Regina, Saskatchewan) cracked 2 home runs in a 3-4 effort at the plate while driving in 6 runs as the Pioneers overwhelmed Minnesota West Technical College 14-0 in 5 innings on Monday in Tucson, AZ. 

Liam Sullivan (CF - Great Falls, MT) was 2-3 at the plate with 3 runs scored, Ethan Forrest (LF - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) knocked 2 hits (2 RBI, 2 R), and Chaise Tracy (3B - Billings, MT) was 2-3 with 2 RBI as the Pioneers smacked 13 hits. 

Tracy had 2 doubles while Chase Carnahan (2B - Fallon, NV) and Karter Scott (C - Regina, Saskatchewan) each had a triple in the game. 

MCC scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and 7 in the 2nd inning. The Pioneers got a run in the 3rd and then finalized the game with 3 runs in the 5th inning. 

Ryan Kelly got the start and pitched 2 innings (3 H, BB, 3 SO) before handing the ball to Keenan Kraft (Belgrade, MT) for the final 3 innings (H, 3 SO)
