The MCC Pioneer bats got the 2025 season off on the right foot by blasting 7 home runs with the wind blowing out in Scottsbluff, NE as the Pioneers notched a 18-11 win to start the season. Brady Bickett (CF - Rapid City, SD) collected 4 hits in 5 at bats in the win. Bickett hit a solo home run in the 6th inning and also had 3 singles.

Max Holden (Kalispell, MT) got the start for MCC and pitched 4 innings (3 H, 6 R, 7 BB, 5 SO) and he was replaced by Evan Woods (Casper, WY) for 1.2 innings (6 H, 5 R, BB) and the Brandon Hegedus (Littleton, CO) for the final 1.1 innings for perfect pitching (SO).

The Pioneers picked up where they left off in game 1 by hitting 4 more home runs including 2 by Lance Bratlien (RF - Helena, MT) and Bratlien also doubled driving in 3 runs in the game as the Pioneers swept Sunday in Scottsbluff, NE.
After trailing 4-1 after one inning of play, MCC scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning and 3 more in the 4th for a 9-4 lead. Western Nebraska scratched in the the lead with 3 runs in the 4th inning to cut the lead to 9-7 but the Pioneers put the game on ice with a run in the 6th inning and 4 more in the 7th.
The 5 runs in the 3rd inning were scored on 4 hits led by a triple from Max Johnson (DH - West Haven, UT). The 4th inning scoring spree was led by a single from Goertz and Bratlien's 2nd home run of the contest (2 RBI). The 4 runs in the 7th inning were highlighted by another home run from Coleman Parry with a 2-run blast.
