Game 1 - Pioneers 3... Bismarck State 2
A pitchers dual ended with the MCC Pioneersw scoring the game winning run in the bottom of the 6th innings as the Pioneers started MonDak Conference play a slow and methodical comeback victory over the Bismarck State Mystics.
Bismarck State score their only runs of the game and had 3 of their hits in the top of the 1st and then Pioneer starting pitcher Jeremy Gee (Brigham City, UT) shut the Mytics down for the rest of the game.
The Pioneers scored a run in the bottom of the 1st inning as SS Jaeden Jordahl (Billings, MT) led the game off with a single. LF Grant Gabbert (Thorton, CO) hit in to a fielder's choice and the Pioneers had a runner on 1st. C Takumi Kimoto (Brisbane, Australia) singled and both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Gabbert then scored on a RF Wyatt Searcey (Denver, CO) ground ball that was not fielded cleanly by the Bismarck State 3rd baseman.
MCC tied it in the 4th inning when 1B Spencer Searcey (Denver, CO) walked and 2B Dalton Martin (Gillette, WY) was hit by a pitch. Jordahl then hit a sacrifice bunt moving the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Searcey scored on a Gabbert sacrifice and the game sat at 2-2 until the bottom of the 6th.
Martin and Jordahl drew back to back walks and Gabbert sacrificed them to 2nd and 3rd. Wyatt Searcey delivered the go ahead single to left field that drove in Martin.
Gee pitched a complete game 7 innings (6 H, 2 R, 2 SO) and didn't allow a walk showing great command shutting out the Mytics over the final 6 innings.

Game 2 - Pioneers 22... Bismarck State 11
Takumi Kimoto had a 6 RBI game and the MCC Pioneers bats came alive with the help of the Bismarck State pitching staff walking 12 Pioneer batters as MCC walked away with a 22-12 win and a doubleheader sweep.
Kimoto was 3-4 (2 2B, 6 RBI, 2 BB, R) and Spencer Searcey was also 3-4 (2 R, 2 RBI). DH Tommy O'Connell (Kalispell, MT) cracked a home run and a double in a 2-4 effort with 3 RBI and a run scored. 3B Lane Neill (Belgrade, MT) was 2-3 (2B, RBI, 3 R, BB).
The Pioneers got 2 runs in the 1st, blew the game open with 7 runs in the 4th, and 4 more in the 6th. MCC really piled it on with 8 runs in the 7th inning for a 22-5 lead and BSC made it look a little more respectable with 6 runs in the bottom of the 7th.
Bridger Erickson (St. Anthony, ID) got the start and pitched 5.2 innings (6 h, 5 R, 3 BB, 5 SO). Caeden Riley (Torrington, WY) pitched the remainder of the game (5 H, 6 R, 5 BB, SO) as the Pioneers moved to 15-7 on the season and 2-0 in MonDak play. MCC will host Williston State on Saturday afternoon.
