Pioneers 5... Northland CTC 4

Takumi Kimoto (Brisbane, Australia) scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning after doubling to start the inning, advancing to 3rd on a sacrifice by Grant Gabbert, and coming home on an error by the Northland catcher. The Pioneers spread 8 hits around and scored one run in 5 of the 7 innings played. 

The Pioneers scored in the bottom of the 1st after an error by Northland 1st baseman brought in Jaeden Jordahl (Billings, MT) after Jordahl walked to lead off the inning. Northland then took a 3-1 lead with 2 runs in the 2nd and another in the 3rd. MCC cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the 3rd after another Jordahl walk, 2 stolen bases, and a Kimoto ground out that brought Jordahl home. The game was tied up in the 4th when Wyatt Searcy (Denver, CO) doubled and then stole 3rd before Lane Neill (Belgrade, MT) drove him in with a sacrifice fly to center field. 

Northland then took a 4-3 lead in the top of the 5th but Pioneer CF Kruz Slevira (Billings, MT) hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 4-4. 

Patrick Dietz (Manhattan, MT) got the start for the Pioneers and surrendered only one hit over 3.2 IP (H, 3 R, 3 BB, 5 SO). Jacob Walker (Brisbane, Australia) pitched 1.1 innings (H, R, 3 SO) and Spencer Searcy got one inning of work (BB, SO). Michael Ohlin got the win pitching the final inning (2 BB, 2 SO).
