Pioneers Continue Domination of Williston

Game 1 - Pioneers 12... Williston State 1

Dawson Parry (1B) went 2-2 with 4 RBI including a home run and a double while 4 other Pioneers had multiple hits as MCC routed Williston State 12-1 in 6 innings. Ian Krump (LF) was 2-4 with a home run and 3 RBI while Lewis Johnson (DH) was 2-4 with a double (2 RBI), and Jaden Webster was also 2-4. Cade Stuff (SS) was 2-3 and scored 3 runs. Hunter Lasko (RF) collected 2 hits as well. The Pioneers scored 5 in the 4th inning and then finished things off with 4 runs in the top of the 6th. Keith Manby was dominant on the mound throwing 5 innings and giving up only 2 hits while striking out 6. Cy Miller finshed things out by striking out the side in the 6th inning. 

Game 2 - Pioneers 12... Williston State 6

The MCC Pioneers scored 8 runs in the 6th inning breaking a 4-4 tie and finished off a weekend sweep of the Williston State Tetons with a 12-6 win Sunday afternoon in Williston, ND. Lewis Johnson (DH) went 2-3 with 5 RBI including a grand slam home run in the pivotal 8th inning to set the tone for the Pioneer win. Cade Stuff (SS) went 3-4 and scored 4 runs in the game. Dawson Parry (1B) continued his hot bat with a 2-3 effort including a double and 2 walks. Tim Holyk (3B) was 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. 

Chase Linn got the start on the mound and went 4 innings giving up 6 hits and 4 runs. Linn struck out 3 Tetons and walked 1. He gave way to Dylan Rydalch who struck out the side 2 times in his 2 innings of work and gave up only one hit. Jay Neugebauer finished things off with 2/3 inning giving up 2 hits, runs, walks and 2 strikeouts. 

The Pioneers moved to 18-9 on the season and will open MonDak Conference play next Saturday with a 4-game series against Dakota College-Bottineau in Miles City.
