Game 1 - Pioneers 8... Williston State 2

The MCC Pioneers got things rolling early with 3 runs in the first inning and 4 more in the third as they cruised to an 8-2 win over Williston in a non-conference game Friday afternoon. Cade Stuff (Great Falls, MT) hit a 2-run homer in the first inning and the Pioneers also got homers from American Fork, Utah natives Dawson Parry and Brayden Howard. Tim Holyk (Nanaimo, BC) drove in 2 runs with a single in the 3rd inning giving the MCC an insurmountable lead behind the pitching of Anthony Bleggi (Driggs, ID). Bleggi pitched a complete game giving up 6 hits and 2 runs in 7 innings. He walked 3 Tetons but struck out 8. 

Game 2 - Pioneers 12... Williston State 1

Jett Hasegawa (Brisbane, Australia) continued his dominance on the mound as he moved his season record to 7-0 with a complete game 4-hitter. Hasegawa struck out 6 Tetons and gave up 2 walks in holding Williston State to only 1 run in the 5th inning. The game ended after 5 innings due to the 10-run rule. Shortstop Howard led off the game for the Pioneers with a home run as he went 3-3 in the game with 3 RBI and also scored twice. CF Deklan Harper (Laurel, MT) had a 2-run homer as the Pioneer bats swatted out 12 hits in only 4 innings. Holyk had a 2 RBI double, Hunter Lasko (Salt Lake City, UT) was 2-3, Ian Krump (Rapid City, SD) had 2 RBI, and Parry was 2-4 with an RBI. 2B Cade Stuff reached base 4 times and scored twice.
