Game 1 - Pioneers 10... St. Cloud Technical College 2 (5 Innings)
The Pioneer bats came on late breaking a 2-2 tie with 5 runs in the 4th inning and then finishing off the game with 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th.
St. Cloud got a run in the top of the 1st inning and the Pioneers answered with a run on a RBI double from Rylynn Krein (P - Fergus Falls, MN). The Pioneers took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 2nd on a bases loaded walk from Emily Robins (CF - Rexburg, ID).
St. Cloud tied the game in the top of the 4th but the Pioneers broke open the game in the bottom of the inning. Brylee Lowell (LF - Columbus, MT) started the inning with a single but was caught stealing 2nd. Paityn Ralphs (1B - Ammon, ID) then doubled and Malory Webb (SS - Idaho Falls, ID) walked. Robins followed with a RBI single and Krein picked up her 2nd RBI of the game with a single. Robins then stole home and Elizabeth Cunningham (RF - Polson, MT) cranked a 2-run home run.
In the 5th inning, Ralphs and Webb walked followed by Robins reaching base on an error in which Ralphs scored. Krein singled to drive in Webb and Robins ended the game scoring on an error by the St. Cloud catcher.
Krein batted 3-4 with 3 RBI and Robins scored 3 runs with 2 RBI. Sydney Goldbar (2B - Missoula, MT) was the other Pioneer with multiple hits going 2-3.
Krein got the start and pitched 5 innings (4 H, 2 R, ER, BB, 7 SO).

Game 2 - Pioneers 14 ... Bryant & Stratton College 7
The MCC Pioneers scored at least one run in every inning except the 1st and pulled away from Bryant & Stratton University with 7 runs in the 5th and 6th innings to take a 14-7 win and sweep game action on Friday in Cocoa Beach, FL.
Emily Robins had a 3-4 effort at the plate while scoring 4 runs and Brooke Schaffer (3B - Missoula, MT) went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and 3 RBI to lead the Pioneer offense that smacked 14 hits (HR, 4 2B).
Addison Sanders (DP - Idaho Falls, ID), Ava Lund (C - Belgrade, MT), and Madison Moorman (RF - Laurel, MT) each had 2 hits in the ball game for MCC. Sanders knocked 2 doubles and Lund also had a double.
The Pioneers 1st run came on a Bryant & Stratton error in the 2nd inning after B & S had taken a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st. B & S matched that run for a 4-1 lead going to the 3rd but MCC came up with 2 runs. Robins scored on a steal of home as Schaffer and Sanders had back to back doubles to pick up the other run to make the score 4-3. B & S matched those 2 runs in the bottom of the inning for a 6-3 lead.
MCC tied the game in the top of the 4th on a 3-run home run from Schaffer. MCC picked up 3 more runs in the top of the 5th thanks to back to back errors from B & S. The Pioneers put the game away in the top of the 6th with 4 more runs to build a 13-6 lead. Lund started the inning with a single and Brooklyn Ostermiller (2B - Huntley MT) sandwiched a walk between singles from Moorman, Robins, and Ralphs that brought in the rest of the 6th inning runs.
In the top of the 7th, Ostermiller hit a sacrifice fly RBI that plated Lund after Lund led the inning off with a double.
Kayla Jensen (Lewistown, MT) started the game in the circle and pitched 2 innings (3 H, 4 R, 5 BB) and gave to the ball to Harley Brown for the final 5 innings (8 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB).
