Game 1 - Pioneers 10... Kalamazoo Valley CC 4
Brooke Schaffer (3B - Missoula, MT) went 3-5 at the plate with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored as the Pioneers scored 8 runs over the final 3 innings to take game 1 of their 2026 Florida spring break trip with a 10-4 win over Kalamazoo Valley CC.
MCC picked up 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning after Malory Webb (SS - Idaho Falls, ID) tripled and Emily Robins (LF - Rexburg, ID) walked, Schaffer nailed a RBI single. KVCC scored a run in the bottom of the 4th inning and MCC answered with a run in the top of the 5th after a KVCC pitcher walked in a run. KVCC scored in the bottom of the 5th to cut the lead to 3-2 but MCC took off with 4 runs in the 6th and 3 more in the 7th.
The big hit in the inning was delivered by Rylynn Krein (P - Fergus Falls, MN) as she connected on a 2 RBI single. The Pioneer runs in the 7th were aided by KVCC errors.
Robins was 2-4 (RBI, 2 R) and Paityn Ralphs (1B - Ammon, ID) was 2-2 (2 R) to join Schaffer with multiple hits.
Krein was the winning pitcher with a complete game 7 innings (9 H, 4 R, BB, 5 SO).

The Muskegon CC Jayhawks pounded out 20 hits and held the Pioneers to just 3 in a 13-3 win in game 2 on Tuesday in Cocoa Beach, FL. Muskegon scored 2 in the 1st, 6 in the 3rd, 4 in the 4th and then 1 run in the 5th to end the game after 5 innings.
MCC got 2 runs in the 4th and a final run in the 5th but it was not enough to extend the game. Rylynn Krein had a double, Madison Moorman (LF - Laurel, MT) had a single, and Brooklyn Ostermiller (SS - Huntley, MT) to account for the 3 Pioneer hits.
Kayla Jensen (Lewistown, MT) got the start in the circle and pitched 3 innings (14 H, 11 R, 2 BB) and Harley Brown (Great Falls, MT) got the final 2 innings (6 H, 2 R, SO).
