Game 1 - Pioneers 11... Dakota College-Bottineau 3

2B Tessa Della Silva and CF Autumn Porter both homered and the Pioneers won their first ever home game with an 11-3 win over the DCB Lumberjacks. Della Silva was 2-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored while hometown hero Autumn Porter went 3-5 with 5 RBI to start MonDak Conference play with a bang. SS Abby Johnson was 2-3 and scored 2 runs and DH Aly RadforD was 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. 

Kassidy Kinzie started in the circle and had a complete game victory giving up only 3 runs on 4 hits and striking out 6. 

Game 2 - Pioneers 10... DCB 0

SS Abby Johnson and C Aly Radford homered as the Pioneers had their first shutout of the 2021 campaign and started MonDak Conference play with 2 wins in a 10 drubbing of the Dakota College Lumberjacks. Radford hit a 3-run homer and Johnson a 2-run shot as MCC scored 5 runs in each of the first 2 innings to cruise to the lopsided victory. 3B Megan Toplovich also went 2-3 with 2 doubles amd an RBI while scoring twice. P Kelealani Waiau and DH Lilinoe Nihi each doubled as well. 

Waiau had a complete game shutout giving up only 3 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings of work. 

The 2 teams play again tomorrow at 1:00 & 3:00 PM.
