Game 1 - Pioneers 2... Otero JC 10

Otero scored in each of the first 3 innings and finished off things early as they scored 3 in the 6th to lead Region IX Otero to a 10-2 win over the Pioneers. The Pioneers mustered up only 4 hits in the game and also committed 4 errors. Janie Nelson (Teton Valley, ID) hit a solo shot in the 4th inning and Hazel Eaton (Belgrade, MT) drove in the only other Pioneer run with a RBI single in the 3rd inning. 

Kassidy Kinzie (Plains, MT) got the start in the circle going 2 2/3 innings and giving up 5 runs on 3 hits with 4 walks. The Pioneers committed 4 errors. Raegan Harper (Billings, MT) finished things off giving up 5 runs on 3 hits wihle walking 3. Both pitchers struck out 3 Rattlers in the game. 

Game 2 - Pioneers 3 ... Otero JC 19

Otero piled up 19 runs on 15 hits in just 4 innings to sweep the MCC Pioneers in a doubleheader Friday. Otero hit for 11 runs in the bottom of the 1st and never looked back. The Rattlers had 4 home runs and 4 doubles in game 2. The Pioneers scoring came off  the bat of Tessa Della Silva as she hit a 3-run homer in the top of the 3rd inning. The Pioneers had only 4 hits in the game. Megan Topolovich (Great Falls, MT), Lilinoe Nihi (Moanalua, Hawaii), Ashlin Hiller (Lolo, MT) accounted for the other Pioneer hits. 

The Pioneers fell to 3-7 on the season and will begin MonDak Conference play and have the Pioneers 1st ever home game on Saturday, March 27 as Dakota College-Bottineau comes to Miles City for the historic event.
