Pioneer Rodeo athletes gained ground on the field on Tuesday in Go #2 at the CNFR Rodeo in Casper, WY. 

The top 12 athletes in each event qualify for the Saturday night short round finals on the night national champions will be crowned. 

Josie Menzel (Philip, SD) scored a 6.7 in round 2 for a total of 13.2 and a tie for 14th place. Menzel is 0.2 seconds out of the top 10 and will make her final run Wednesday night at 7:00 PM during the night performance. 

Weston LaPierre (Killdeer, ND) timed a 13.7 in round 2 for a total of 32.3 after 2 rounds and is in 20th place. LaPierre will make his final run during the performance on Thursday night at 7:00 PM and try to work his way in to the top 12.
