Trexler/Handy Win Events to Highlight Spring Rodeo Opener in Bozeman

Montana State University - Rodeo #1 (April 13-14)

Cole Trexler (Corvallis, MT) brought home 1st place in Tie Down Roping for the Montana State University Rodeo #1. Trexler recorded a time of 18.1 for his runs in Bozeman. Daylon Danks (Mandaree, ND) finished in 4th place in the same event with a time of 22.3. Grady Larson (Sidney, MT) and Blayne Hubing (Circle, MT) finished in the top 10 in tie down roping. 

Cameron Handy (Recluse, WY) was a winner as well in team roping combining with Hayden Taylor (Montana State) for the victory. The combined time for their runs was 11.9. 

The Pioneers finished in 4th place with a total of 380 points. Montana State University won the rodeo with a score of 615. 

The MCC Women's Rodeo team did not score in rodeo #1. According to Coach La Cross the team was close to the top 10 in goat tying and barrels but just couldn't quite get in. 

Montana State University - Rodeo #2 (April 15-16)

The Pioneer men's rodeo team finished rodeo #2 in 4th place as well (285 points) highlighted by a 2nd place finish by Daylon Danks and Dawson Jackson (Delisle, Saskatchewan) in team roping. The team tied with a team from UM-Western for 2nd place with a combined time of 18.3 seconds. Grady Larson and Caden Rhoads (Bighorn, MT) finished in 6th place team roping with a combined time of 26.9. 

That was all the points the Pioneers were able to score in rodeo #2.

The MCC Women's Rodeo team did not score in rodeo #2.
