GEORGE JOINS PIONEER RODEO

(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College Rodeo team has announced that Genevieve George will be joining the Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season. 

Genevieve is a 5'6" goat tyer, breakaway roper, and barrel racer from Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Canada.  She attended high school at Prairie South Virtual School.

George has many rodeo accomplishments, including, 2015 SJHSRA 5th place Season Finisher in goat tying, 2016 SHSRA 5th place Season Finisher in goat tying, 2017 SHSRA 4th Place Season Finisher in goat tying, 2018 SHSRA 3rd place Season Finisher in goat tying, 2019 SHSRA Provincial Champion in goat tying, 2019 SHSHRA Finals Average winner in goat tying, 5x Canadian High School Finals Rodeo competitor in goat tying, 3x National High School Finals Rodeo competitor in goat tying, 2018 Weyburn HS Rodeo Average Winner in goat tying, 2018 SHSRA 5th place season finisher in breakaway, 2018 National High School Finals Rodeo competitor in breakaway, and 2018 Canadian High School Finals Rodeo competitor in breakaway.

Genevieve is the daughter of Jocelyne George - Rouleau of Saskatchewan.  While at MCC, Genevieve plans to work on a degree in Phlebotomy.

George on attending MCC: "I am looking forward to being a Pioneer to grow in rodeo and begin working towards higher education."  

Coach Witcher on Genevieve: "I am very excited to add Genevieve George to our roster. She is a well-rounded talent and exceptionally tough goat tier. She has just returned home from competing at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs Wyoming and is eager to arrive early in Miles City to start practicing for our upcoming season."
