PIONEERS STAY PERFECT

PIONEERS STAY PERFECT

The Gillette College Pronghorns traveled to Miles City to face the Pioneers on Friday, January 4.  It was a slow start for the Pioneers in the first quarter.   However, they got into a rhythm in the second and didn't allow a single point in the quarter, outscoring the Pronghorns, 22-0 to take a 35-19 lead into the half.  Although it wasn't their best game, the Pioneers outplayed Gillette in the second half to come away with the victory, 63-36 and move to 13-0 on the season.

Patrycja Jaworska led the Pioneers in scoring with 22. Caitlyn Barkins, Kylee Meredith, Kate Golovkina, and Bre Moea'i each added seven.  Moea'i had eight rebounds to lead the team, followed by Claire Borot, Lucia Salazar, and Golovkina with seven apiece.  Jaworska, Salazar, and Meredith each had two assists to lead the Pioneers.  Jaworska had seven steals on the night.

Tomorrow's game is cancelled due to a forfeit by Turtle Mountain. The Pioneers will take the court next on Tuesday, January 8, when they face Yellowstone Christian College in Billings at 5:00 pm.
