(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College Softball team has announced that Sanoe Samante will be joining the Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season.

Samante is a 5'5" first baseman/third baseman from Ewa Beach, Hawaii.  She attends high school at James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Sanoe was part of the OIA Division I Champion team in 2018 and 2019 and State Champion team in 2016 and 2017. She also named Player of the Game in 2019.

Sanoe is the daughter of Charles Samante of Ewa, Hawaii and Kimberly Samante of Nanakuli, Hawaii.  While at MCC, Sanoe is planning to work towards her ultimate goal of a career in pharmaceuticals.

Samante on attending MCC: "My outside league softball coach had told me about Miles Community College starting a softball team for the first time, and they were looking for players. It caught my interest that I would be able to play college ball at a school who's going to start this year."

Coach Juarez on Samante: "We are above and beyond ready to have Sanoe on campus with us!  After following her games and seeing the exciting impact that she is having at the plate and on the diamond, this coaching staff firmly knows that she will produce excellent numbers at the plate and will help aide towards our offensive production.  Sanoe is going to be yet another very well rounded person and will directly influence our campus in a positive manner.  Welcome to the Ohana."
