(Glendive, MT) The Pioneers grabbed an early lead on their way to a 14-2 victory over Dawson on Tuesday. MCC got things started with three runs in the second inning. Lewis Johnson homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs and Cade Stuff lined out, driving in a run. The Pioneers then secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the fourth inning. The Pioneers were led by Keith ManbyCarson HokeJames MartinWill RileyJared Bellows, and Stuff, all driving in runs in the frame.

Jack Stead earned the win for the Pioneers. He went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out four. Sean O'Hagan threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Pioneers scattered 12 hits in the game. TY Jones, Johnson, and Manby each collected multiple hits on the day. Johnson and Jones each collected three hits to lead the team.

MCC will face Williston State College at Connor Stadium on Friday for a doubleheader, starting at 1:00 pm.
