Miles City, MT - Head coach Jeff Brabant announced that Mason Baker is planning to continue his career as a student athlete next season at Dominican University in River Forest, IL.
Mason played 2 years at MCC and is originally from Murray, UT.
"I feel very confident in moving to the next level after spending 2 seasons with Pioneer baseball because of what a top notch program coach Brabant runs," commented Baker. "MCC has prepared me for the next level by holding their players to a higher standard on and off the field. I am very grateful for the opportunity they gave me and the time I was able to spend there."
Coach Brabant is excited for Baker to take this next step, "Mason was one of our hardest workers and that work ethic propelled him immensely. He is a high energy, highly competitive player and a tremendous teammate. He has plus power and with an aluminum bat will be dangerous at the next level. I'm excited to watch him continue to grow!"
Baker is ready for this next step, "The thing I look forward to the most about moving forward with my baseball career is the new relationships that will be built and the new opportunities that will come of this opportunity."
Dominican University is a member of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference within NCAA Division 3.
