1987-1988 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM NAMED TO PIONEER ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

87-88 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM NAMED TO PAHOF

(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College athletic department would like to announce the 1987-1988 women's basketball team  as the first team to be inducted into the Pioneer Athletic Hall of Fame.  The class will be celebrated at a ceremony and banquet on November 16, 2019.

The 1987-1988 team was the first in program history to advance to the NJCAA National Tournament. Coached by fellow inductee, Dennis Lordemann, the team went 19-10, garnering the school's first trip to the big dance.

"This was a special team to coach," commented Coach Lordemann.  "They deserve this recognition and I am still proud of all of them and proud to have been a part of this team. What this team was able to accomplish back then was special and groundbreaking. They always fought hard and they were fired up to play."
